And while you're enjoying the holidays, don't forget to take some time for exercise. Active Living is important every day!
Take a walk downtown, or to one of the many city parks, like Adair Park, Sycamore Park, Oakview Rd. Park, Oakhurst Park, the Glenn Creek Nature Preserve, Glenlake Park, McKoy Park, Waddell Park and many more. Walk the trails at Dearborn Park, a DeKalb County partially within the city limits. Check out the track at Agnes Scott for a run or brisk walk or jog.
For fun and fit indoor fun for the kids, check out city business Leapin Lizards. There are also multiple fitness gym's in the city, like Core Body Decatur and Snap Fitness. FYI: Take it from a former university HPE Instructor, dumbbells are a great workout for adults of all ages, male and female.
City residents with dogs can enjoy the newly enclosed Adair Park dog park, or our Glenlake and Oakhurst dog parks.
Those flexible & young at heart can enjoy the McKoy Skate Park. If the weather's nice, shoot some hoops at Ebster Park, Mead Rd. Park, Oakhurst Park, McKoy Park or Glenlake Park.
