THANKS, THANKS, THANKS!

A BIG THANKS to everyone who volunteered for Walk/Bike to School Day on Wednesday and helped make it a big success! Thanks to everyone who took part in the pep rally on Tuesday night. And thanks most of all to the students and parents who did walk and bike to school despite the rain.

Quick reminder: It is Georgia state law to have a vehicle's headlights on in the rain. Unfortunately, we saw a large number of drivers who are not aware of the law, or are aware of the law but chose not to drive with headlights on, despite the rain and dark, overcast conditions.

Use Headlights Properly
Use high-beam headlights only when driving in rural areas and when other cars are not nearby. You must use your headlights between one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise; at any time when it is raining; or when visibility is limited.
