It's Basketball Time!
The greatest place to shoot hoops is at Decatur Rec. Decatur Active Living offers coed leagues for children ages 5-17 and all girl's teams for girls ages 9-10 and 11-12. Each player receives a jersey and shorts. Practices will be held at local gyms. Games will be played December 5th through February 12th.
New This Season: 11-12 Division Travel Team. Players will have to try-out for this team which will mean more competitive than the Rec League. This Travel Team is in lieu of the RMS 6th/7th grade basketball teams, so all RMS 6th and 7th graders who want to play basketball should consider trying out for this league. (Tryouts are not limited to RMS students.)
Registration begins Saturday, September 19th and will continue until October 24th or until spaces are filled.
Players 7-12 years of age will have to attend a skills assessment. The 11-12 travel team, 13-14 and 15-17 divisions will play in the YMCA and DeKalb County League.

Thanks for the heads-up Decatur Living. I thought the Decatur Focus stated that registration doesn't start until Oct. 3. Is that not true?
