No. 2 Recreational Activity in America: Gardening

Breaking news for Gardeners and those who enjoy nutritious eating in our schools and community!

Save Saturday afternoon for the Kudzu Festival for DHS Community Garden clearing. We're transforming a vacant lot into a garden. You can help. We'll be pulling kudzu and ivy, listening to music and eating s'mores, all to get fresh garden produce into the stomaches of our students in Decatur next spring. Bring gloves, pick-axes and hoes to chop the kudzu roots. We'll talk about various activities needed to get the garden going, and how you can help.

Join the fun this Saturday, 2-5 pm, Oct. 25th, at Commerce Drive and Howard Avenue - if there is some activity in the upper parking lot you can park in the lower one at DHS off Commerce, also accessible from the upper lot.

We look forward to seeing you,
Bruce Fabrick
